Ukrainian Catholic School in East Village Struggles to Stay Open

Once brimming with students, the St. George Ukrainian Catholic School sits quietly tucked away in the heart of the East Village. The school that captivated and educated the local community for over 60 years, today fights for its right to stay open.

The high school, which was forced to close its elementary wing at the end of last year due to low enrollment, has at present just 67 students remaining in a building created for 1,000. (Click here for full article)
